Somethings have remained the same, others have been rewritten. If you're planning on applying for any of these characters, please remember to adapt the ideas formed in these storylines into your application for that character. Use these storylines below as a jumping off point in your application. You can choose to start at the begining of the storyline presented, or already be immersed in it.
Shawn/Belle/Phillip/Mimi
Belle lives alone with her and Shawn's daughter Claire. She's slowed her reconciliation with Shawn down a bit wanting to give Shawn and Claire time to get used to being father and daughter. In the meantime, Belle has grown closer to her ex husband Phillip again going as far as to sleep with him again. She tells Phillip afterward that they can never tell Shawn about what they had just done. Much to everyone's surprise, Mimi Lockhart returns to Salem after moving to Phoenix, Arizona a while back. It's a bit awkward at first, but Mimi's friendship with Belle is slowly moving towards being repaired.
As Belle is seemingly torn between Shawn and Phillip, Mimi finds herself growing closer to both of them as well. She ends up sleeping with Shawn and just as Belle told Phillip, Mimi tells Shawn that they can never tell Belle. After a heart to heart chat with Belle, Mimi seems certain that Belle wants to be with Shawn so she tries to seduce Phillip away from Belle to ensure a happy reunion for Belle with Shawn. It backfires and Phillip seems more persistent in winning Belle back.
Billie/Bo/Hope/John/Marlena/Roman/Kate
John has amnesia, of course, from being dead and the brainwashing from Stefano. He's been told he is married to Marlena, and he remembers bits and pieces, but nothing concrete.
Bo is feeling guilty about Chelsea's condition after she saved his life following his pancreatic illness. He informs Billie and she comes back to town to try to be there for Chelsea. Bo, feeling guilty, is trying to be there for her too which makes him spend a lot of time with Billie. Of course, Hope doesn't like any of this.
John and Hope run into each other some where, possibly at the Brady Pub or on the docks. She vents to him about Bo and Billie. He starts remembering bits and pieces about him and Princess Gina thing, but in his mind, it's not Princess Gina in his memories: It's Hope, but of course Hope is just really greatful she's got her good friend John to confide in... Until he tells her how he's been feeling...
Fed up with the way John has been acting, she turns to Roman for some comfort. He's more than willing to help her through her marital problems, but begins to find himself uncomfortable being around her since he's starting to feel the old feelings he used to have for her coming back to him. It wouldn't be such a terrible thing, but he and Kate have reconciled and had started working on their relationship again, even to the point that Roman had been considering asking her to marry him again. Will he go ahead and ask her to marry him, or will he give into the tempting pull he's feeling with Marlena?
Brady/Nicole/EJ/Chelsea
EJ thinks Nicole is pregnant with their daughter unaware that she had tragically miscarried the baby. She's currently faking the fact that she's not really about six months pregnant. The only person aside from Nicole that knows the truth is Brady. Nicole considers telling EJ the truth, but is surprised when he proposes to her. She happily accepts and they start planning their wedding. Brady, however, urges her to tell the truth since he believes that EJ will find out the truth eventually. Nicole decides to wait until after they're married to tell EJ.
Running late to what he thinks is Nicole's doctor's appointment, EJ bumps into Chelsea who spills her coffee on him accidentally. She apologizes profusely and tries to clean up the mess she made unaware that Brady is watching them. Brady informs Nicole of what he saw and she grows unnecessarily worried thinking that she might lose EJ. She confronts Chelsea and threatens her that messing around with Stefano's son could do her more harm than good. Chelsea insists that she and EJ are barely even friends and starts to avoid him. EJ grows intrigued over Chelsea's avoidance of him much to Nicole's dislike. When EJ finds out the truth about Nicole's pregnancy, will she find comfort in Brady's arms? Will EJ ever find out why Chelsea is avoiding him?
Lucas/Sami/EJ/Nicole
With it safe for her to be herself again, Sami Brady left the Witness Protection Program and returned home to Salem reuniting with her children. The news of EJ and Nicole's engagement took her by surprise although she seemed happy for them. After spending so much time with EJ, she thought they might have a shot together, but she misscarries their second child, leaving EJ to feel no obligation toward staying with her once he finds out Nicole is pregnant with his child.
When Sami goes by the hospital for a checkup since her miscarriage with EJ's second child, she witnesses a rather close moment between Chloe and Dr. Daniel Jonas. She grows wary of them, but doesn't want to inform her step brother Brady of her suspicions just yet, instead, she confides in Lucas, telling him what she's suspecting. As Lucas is adjusting to having Sami back in his and their daughter Alli's lives, how will their relationship change once he finds out that Sami miscarried her and EJ's second child, will it push them closer again?
Chelsea/Daniel/Chloe/Brady/Nicole
After repeatedly pushing Chelsea away for her own good, Daniel is sure that it has finally sunk in to her pretty little head. Daniel doesn't really feel like getting into a relationship with anyone in Salem, because he really isn't sure how long he's going to be sticking around.
Chloe and Brady are on their way back to Salem after traveling through Europe and Brady heading up Titan Europe for his grandfather. On their way back into town, they get into a serious accident just outside Salem city limits. Chloe gets rushed to the hospital unconscious and Brady has broken his leg again. Even though he's in terrible pain, he can't stop worrying about Chloe who was unconscious the last time he saw her before they were both taken in separate ambulances.
Chloe wakes up unsure of where she is or how she got there. Dr. Jonas, who was the one who responded to the head trauma in the ER when she was brought in, introduces himself to Chloe and tells her that her husband Brady will be glad to know she has woken up. Chloe instantly asks how her face is, thinking she's just come out of the accident that had marred up her face and is thinking Brady isn't going to love her anymore, but something is still bothering her... She knows she knows Brady, but is unsure as to why Dr. Jonas has called Brady her husband and who Brady actually is.
Brady confides in Nicole about how guilty he feels about the accident and Chloe's selective amnesia after she's come running to him for comfort and help when she miscarries EJ's baby. When they are consoling eachother, Nicole kisses Brady as a thank you. It becomes more than a thank you kiss and they begin to kiss passionately. Brady pulls out of the kiss, still in love with his wife and tells Nicole they can't do this.
After Chloe is released from the hospital, she decides she has to go to Daniel and tell him that they can only be friends, considering she is apparently married to Brady, but they can't ignore the sexual attraction they have been feeling toward each other and they end up sleeping together. Afterwards, they both admit they've made a mistake, since she is after all married, and decide to stay away from each other. Can they?
Mike/Carrie/Austin
Carrie has come back to Salem still married to Mike, but without him. They have planned on moving back to Salem, but his job just hasn't been able to allow it yet. Carrie is bringing with her her company, Highstyle. Coming back into town, she runs up with Austin who is looking to acquire the new company that has just moved into Salem. To his surprise, he sees that it is Carrie who owns the company. They become reacquainted and Austin brings her up to speed on things that have been happening in Salem since she and Mike left. Austin is still hopelessly in love with Carrie, but is unsure if he can tell her, considering she's still married to Mike. But are things really going that smooth for the married couple, or were they coming back to Salem to rekindle their marriage and fall in love again in the place they fell in love with in the first place? What will Mike find when he comes back to Salem to find Carrie cozycozy with her ex, Austin?
